Pretty sure that is an 80 Capri unless someone has made a lot of changes and additions.

The Bulge hood scoop wasn't available until 1980 IIRC. The inline 6 was not available in 1979. The rear spoiler was not available on the Capri in 1979. Most likely a late 1979 production date as an early 80 model is why is being advertised as 79 model. Definitely has potential. Too bad I have too many projects and Foxes right now.

I believe the RS package for 79 and 80 was available with all engine options, I would have to double check the later year models, but I believe the same was true at least thru 84. This RS has the 3.3 straight six not the V6 and the RS package was definitely available with the 3.3 in 1980. Remember you could also get the RS package with the Turbo 4 in the years it was available, so No not all RS were V8 models.

I have 79 and 80 RS Capris that are both 2.3 NA cars. I had always thought they only offered the RS on V8 cars but have learned differently.
I like the color scheme on this car but she definitely needs about everything but rust repair.
