    Default Barrett Jackson Scottsdale 2018

So I was looking at the cars coming up for sale at Barret Jackson in a couple weeks. There are a total of 23 foxbody mustangs thru the week. 20 of them are all in sequence on Sunday afternoon. A lot of them are foureye cars but there are some aero cars too. I didnt read all the descriptions but the ones I did read are all low low mileage cars.

    1. I will be curious to see what these cars bring.
    2. I actually will be surprised if they even show them on the air. It seems every time a Ford comes to the block they go to an advertisement.

I guess now they will probably sell for good money 1 because they are at BJ and 2 because they are low mileage cars. And then every shmuck that has a beat pos Foxbody will think theirs is worth a ton more $ than it really is. On the good side that makes the ones we all own worth more. Riiiiight? Lol on the bad side it also starts the same trend as the older cars becoming almost out of reach for the average Joe car guy that doesn't have $50K to spend on a "toy".

That at is a whole other discussion I don't feel like going into.

"Almost" out of reach?! I disagree, good sir. Who even has $15-20k for a toy? That's what you'll pay for anything even slightly appealing as a muscle car. Base models, 6-cylinders, and such. Everything with any sort of performance package (Mach 1, GT, etc) will cost you MORE thanks to those greedy a-holes! F*** Barrett-Jackson. I refuse to give them any sort of credibility or support.

Agreed and 9 times out of 10 they will go to a flipper not someone who appreciates and want to enjoy them.

Yeah, more greedy a-holes hoarding those cars as investments so they can't be enjoyed by people like us who actually WOULD enjoy them.

Which is great! And to think all of us on this page had the same opportunity to buy them before they eneded up in their hands, and at reasonable price and none of us bit. I agree 15k is alot for these cars, but if we all wanted to prevent them into thses guys hands we have to buy now. I know my projects are no where near this nice but i can get rid of them all for the price of 1, is it worth it? Id say no. But that my personal thought. Some of us have cars similar to these. I know it sucks to see them bought and sold off for us as hobbyists.. And some may see it as a good thing. Mad or not whether we approve or not its intriguing to me to see what happens to the market. Im not trying argue, just interested to see. I wasnt around at the price skyrocket prices on the older stuff(60-70's). And it is crazy now you cant touch anything good without paying an arm and a leg. I dont want it to happen (or maybe I do ). But, sorry fellow stangers, just a happy new years eve, buzzed babble... hope everyone has a happy new year!!! And remember, lets make it better than the last..

Zephyr I agree with you about the prices. I was just using a number in general. The only reason my wife and I have the cars we have is because we bought them before all these car auctions were aired on tv driving up the price. The only reason I watch the auctions is purely for entertainment.

There are three car things I want to do on that side of the country.
    1. Somehow get into the SEMA show
    2. Go to Hot Reno nights
    3. Get to Barrett Jackson in Scottsdale.

After last years A$$ Monkey shenanigans with Rich and Dennis....I have zero interest in it this year. I firmly believe that whatever ridiculous $$ they hammer at, none or very few will actually transact $$ for titles to a legit owner....all for show, and just f%$ks up the market for the average Joe. Yeah...I'd love for my cars to keep climbing in value, but at a realistic pace. It just helps create delusional sellers out there

I guess that's my question. How many of these supposedly sold last year? Total BS to pull this kind of crap and I thought BJ was legit and didn't allow this kind of crap, Unlike Mecum.
