Default My restored 85 notchback and my 85 survivor notchback

The med canyon red car was bought in Texas about 3 years ago with 41000 miles and then I spent a full year doing a nut and bolt resto on it. It is a no option car but it did have a 3:08 rearend. It truly is better then when it left Ford. The black car is a 24000 mile survivor that was sold new in Ont Canada and spent its whole life there until I bought it just recent. This car has lived a pampered life , still has the original spark plugs , plug wires , radiator hoses , drive belt etc. it only has a rear window defroster and a radio delete and no other options. I got a bunch of paper work with the car and the original sales invoice, this car had a 3:27 gear install when it was brand new by the dealer for a sum of 153.00 dollars !. I would rate this car a 9 out of 10 it is that good. The speedo reads in Kilometers at 39900 or 24900 miles. I love these 85 2 doors and would buy another one if it is the right car. I think these cars are going to do nothing but go up in value for the next several years.

Nice cars. It's rare to see a black/red LX coupe or even GT hatchback with a 5-speed that's not all ratted out.

Take good care of them, but DO remember to enjoy them.

My 86 GT has nearly 1/2 million miles on it and all but 78K are from me. Do I cringe when I think of the resto work it needs? You bet. Would I drive it that much again if I had to do all over again? Absolutely! I cannot express how much I enjoy the privilege every time I drive it. A nice driving strong running four eyed fox is just so much fun.
