Has this been converted from an auto to a 5 speed? It has the single, twin tip exhaust, not a true dual exhaust.

Good catch. Surprisingly Ford went with true duals in '85 1/2. A few other surprises for me anyway, were the '83-style radio and the rear crank windows, even with power windows up front.

The exhaust is correct for the car. Early verts with power windows had crank units for the back quarter windows.

I also have an early 84 GT convertible 5 speed with no fog lights, slapper bars- it even has a 83 air cleaner lid. My VIN is 121833. It was so much like a 83 that I added the 83 style hood scoop because I was going to swap it to a black interior and make it a 83 GT convertible clone but then I found a 83 GT Convertible.
