Guess we get to do the 'gobbling'. Gobble the gobbler?
Drove by this suburban Livonia turkey farm last week. Prob an empty lot today.
It is a couple miles NE from the Roush car museum.

Yearly Thanksgiving traditions here in metro Detroit:
NFL Detroit Lions play home game at Ford Field. Lots of tailgating prior to game.
Annual Thanksgiving Day Parade 1 block west of stadium. Was best prior to 1980.

The floats are kept in the old Chrysler Lynch Road Assy Plant building.
Worked there briefly on the assy line, not knowing it would be a future parade float garage.
Left there to work for Ford Motor Co. The Lions owner.
In a way, something like special distant personal links to local Thankgiving events.

And remember you old timers, don't be out running around the back yard trying to keep up with the high school nephews playing football. You could take a bad step, over exceeding your current physical abilities, hear a loud pop in your lower leg, nearly blackout as you fall to the ground with a torn calf muscle. Then be in an exceeding amount of pain. Plus I bet crawling up tractor and combine and grain bin ladders tomorrow will be nearly impossible
