    Default Wagon Wheels Center caps

Looking to see if anyone knows the part number for the 16 hole aluminum rims center caps that came on 83-84 mustangs. The ones everyone calls "wagon wheels".
Just ordered 4 refurbished wheels off of ebay for $445 shipped. They don't come with caps. I would like to do a search for some on the net. I will also post a WTB here as well.

Don't limit yourself by "Mustang"...those wheels were used on other Ford/Merc vehicles too as I recall, including trucks.

they were a European 1976 Taunus wheel design copies with the same stud pattern, so a set of 13 by 5.5j will fit a Fox, but look pretty strange, as the Fox items were in 14" to fill out the wheel arches better. Dynamically, you can change their look by removing the black highlights. The US wheels where blacked out, and more Euro look than the as cast natural Euro versions!

About that time, the European Granada had TRX rims in five stud 5 on 112 mm centers (Benz stud pattern) that copied the Taunus/Fiesta/Cortina 4 on 108 stud, so the F150, Euro Granny and conventional alloy 82 on Foxes all looked the same, but each had its own PCD.

And to cap it all off, look at the Fiesta Fantasy, which was in color shod with painted red highlights and highly polished wheels

European, Ford UK, Australian and South American Argentine Fords with the Ghia option pack had them too in 16 slot, alloy 13 x 5.5 J form, the Fiesta, Escort, Cortina/Taunus, Capri Ghias. Australian Cortinas had the caps made in RIM in Australia, the others were German made plastic.

    Minted circa 1978 for the
Fiesta Ghia, which was designed with Jack Talnack,
it was found on TE TF Ford Cortina/Taunus Ghia
    Escort Mark II Ghia

    Alloy wheel "centre caps"

It has TRX style plastic clasp clips

These are the centre cap as used on the genuine alloy wheels that came factory

one finish, concentric circles, not plastic crome

    Default Pictures of refurbished rims

If anyone was curious as to what a reconditioned wheel looks like, here is the ones I bought off Ebay. I gave @ $111 each after tax.

Ghia/GLX/GT 14X 5.5J alloy wheel has drift pin/auxilary studs to hold thw whole applique to the wheel.

Lookes like four 1/8" roll pins to me

The 1979-1981 Fiesta and all others (foreign) have the same cap, but the applique isn't pinned to the wheel....
