Oh gods of the Foxbody, smile upon us poor souls with the 1986 Mercury Capris, and remind us of why we sacrifice our sanity to transition year cars. But in seriousness, I have an 86 Capri, that I have converted over to the the PimpXS plug in system. This utilizes the standard fuel injection harness for 86 with no changes. However, in my restoration of the car, I want to replace the fuel injection harness from the salt and pepper connectors forward. I found this: https://www.americanmuscle.com/injec...s-8793-v8.html but it says its for 87 forward. Is there a real difference? I use speed density now, so MAF wiring is irrelevant to me. I am hoping this is the only difference from 86-87? Or is there something else? If anyone can shed any light on this, I would be very grateful.
