In the wiring diagrams, I thought I saw these as separate wires with their own eyelets, but as is shown in the following pic, mine are all bundled together with one wire coming out. Is this typical for an 86 GT harness?

The one wire looks like the stock 2g alt power wires to me. Hooks into a yellow and is that a small red wire or is there a stripe? Hard to tell. All of my greens were bleached to yellow on all of my wire colors.
But just to clarify, you are saying all the fuseable links are hooked into that cable?

Yea, the small red wire has a yellow stripe I think. The other fuseable links from that harness come together to the one eyelet. There is another fuseable link in the ECM/PCM harness that comes from the passenger side and ends by these above.

Yes, it's normal to have a bundle of fusible links tied together, then connected through another fusible link,
to the starter relay post. The EVTM diagrams show this more clearly than the plain wiring diagrams.

Yep, the big black round thing is the factory crimp. My 85 was pretty interesting. I didn't know they did it that way either!! It's something to consider when you start putting bigger alternator and lots of power hungry things in the car. Especially an amp. Run a cable directly to the battery...don't tie on something inside the car!!
