    Default Stranger Things - Netflix

Does anyone on here watch it? If any of you are a fan of the 80's, which I imagine you are if you're into 4 Eye Fox Mustangs, you will love this show. It's part Goonies, part ET, part Stand by Me, with a little horror movie thrown in. Very Spielbergian in look and feel. One of the coolest aspect is all the nods to retro toys, games, TV, music and movies from the early-mid 80s.

Although, on episode 1 of season 2, they showed a high school parking lot with an 87 LX 5.0 conv. The show is set in 1984. The continuity guys need to get on point!

I didn't watch it yesterday when the wife did, but I swore I saw the tail lights of a red convertible in the lot. Sure looked like the 83-86 lenses to me. Did not see the front of the car though.

Love the show! I've only gotten to see the first episode of the new season so far... I was pretty sure the red 'vert was an 83-84, I'll have to check again.

We started to watch yesterday, but my friend said that the second series wasn't as good as the first and so we stopped after the second episode...but, then she went home and I watched all the way through the 5th episode. She should have hung in there longer...definitely worth it. I'm going to watch one or two more episodes tonight.

My wife crammed the whole first season 2 weekends ago and we watched the whole 2nd season on Saturday and Sunday night. Pretty cool show but to me it seems to be trying to mimic too many genres.

Soon as I saw the convertible's rear end... looks like my brother's '83 with a black top.

I watched again on my phone for a closer look. I was wrong about it being an 87 LX, its an 86 with the 3rd brake light and 10 hole wheels. Still not correct for fall 1984! If it had no 3rd brake light it could pass as an 85 and be correct.

Its great for Period Stickers and Continuty Script Nazis, hey?

1983 BMW 733i, but most likely later. No rear head rests, no 735iL long wheel base, no TRX's

Even if it was 3.2 liter down here. You got the 3.5 optional some years, but IRRC, that came with all the fruit and vegetables.

The grille got revised in late 1982 (The 1983 model year facelift [ from September 1982] ) for European production. TRX option got progressively axed, but it became an option about then too. If my old eyes aint too shot, tires are 70 series Michelins, not the 200/55 HR 390's....

And the engine was a 3.2/3.5 on the Bosch Motronic intake plenumb....

I used to be a BMW luva because in Alexandra, all my class mates were foreginer kids whose Papas were the Clyde Power Project engineers. They had imported Austrian or Dutch spec BMW 3'S, 5'S and 7's, and they always had at least a 4-bbl six in them. A few 4-bbl 2.8 liter Opel Monza's, too.

    I'm an EFI guy
    I'm a TRX guy
and six cylinder guy, natch...got it b-a-d.

High stop light, vxr500. Good pickup.

Finished up season 2 last night, was pretty good. Ready for season 3 now. Probably going to be a long wait.

Started watching "Beyond Stranger Things". Only watched the first episode so far, looks to be interesting with all the behind-the-scenes stuff.
