on the driver side of my 84 convertible the inside door handle no longer unlatches the door with normal pull.
If I snap the handle hard and fast I can get the door to open but its getting worse.
Inside the door the handle connects to a long rod that connects to the door latch. When pulling the handle to open the door the rod pulls and rotates which I assume is what unlatches the door. I thought that the rod may be stretched from years of use so I tried putting a small bend in it to shorten the travel when the handle is pulled but it didn't fix the issue.
Is the rod the issue or the latch in door that catches the bar?
I don't want to put my door panel back on until I solve this, and a minor widow guide adjustment.
