Do you know if 81 and 82 are compatible?

How much with shipping to San Diego?

    Thanks

Tony Silver is the expert here. I believe it fits an 81, Tony, is that correct? I believe they changed in 83. I will let you know price once I stop in at UPS

Thanks a lot, I'm really interested if it fits the 81 model (I'm pretty sure they do)

1979- early 83 models use the spline shaft on the steering column.

The mid/late 83-86 Four Eyes use the D shaped shaft on the steering column.

You should be able to swap the steering wheel onto the 81 column. I can't guarantee everything matches up between the 81 and 82, but I believe they are the same.

    Ok, thanks.

Blueandsilver, if it doesn't end up working out for your car, shoot me a PM. It's the OE wheel for mine. Thanks.

Here's the steering wheel installed in my car, I am SO HAPPY! Its amazing how a steering wheel in perfect condition immediately makes a huge improvement in the interior. this car is now really really close to becoming the car I dreamed when I bought it and started restoring it almost 7 years ago... its these fine details that make the difference

    Thanks a lot Barb 1982,
