    Exclamation New Stroker Build For Racerxmd

    Gathering parts to build a large displacement stroker for my new '85GT T-Top project. Recently got a Great Deal on a Dart 8.2 deck SHP block. I am having Duane Busch at Busch Enterprises in NC build it for me. Block is in route to Duane. Will be ordering the rotating assembly very soon. Will be choosing either a 363 or 376 cu. in rotating assembly. Going to keep it as a Neutral Balance w/ 11 to 1 compression. We are leaning on choosing the 11R head from Trick Flow. It will be the 205 version with 56 cc and the Titanium Retainers. Anyway, here are some of the pics of the new Dart SHP block:

    This will be going in my '85 GT T-Top:

    Study your desired RPM range vs FPS in relationship to your rings at a given stroke. Make sure you know what you are signing up for.

    Me personally, I'd go big bore with a 3.25" stroke and build for more R's.

    Good luck with your build!

    That block is so nice and new it almost looks like aluminum. You'll be in good hands with Duane. I haven't heard much from them since the old HC5.0 days.

    Congratulations - looks like it will be a stout piece when it’s done!

    Any HP target in mind? N/A at 11:1 with that much displacement and 205 heads and a decent cam with headers and a good intake I’m thinking you should see 500 lbs of torque or so. More if it’s built well.

    We are using a TFS Stage IV camshaft for this build. The cam specs are as follows:

    Dur = 242*/246* @ .050

    Lift = .595/.595

    Lobe Separation = 110*

    Also have a TFS R-Intake (carb.) going on. Plus my old Pro Systems carb (840cfm) from my old 427 Windsor.

    Our goal is near 600hp and little street use.

    Little update from Duane Busch. He applied the Glyptal to the lifter valley and timing area infront of the motor. Hopefully the 11R 205 heads will be installed soon. Can't wait! Here are a couple pics:

    Very nice setup.

    You might want to consider a custom cam from Flow Tech instead of an off the shelf grind. Makes all the difference in a lot of cases.
