    Default 1982 Mercury Capri

Because the paint option is special tu-tone ("1CC 6Y" on the buck tag) AND there is no code for RS or Turbo RS on the tag, that means it could only be a [base] or a GS. (Special tu-tone paint was not available on the L, RS, or Turbo RS, and the [base], L, and GS do not have a model code on their buck tag.) The [base] and GS each had seating type and material that were not available in the other but the buck tag only shows the color of the interior trim ("-A"), not the seating type and material, so I need to see the door tag.

I cannot believe I did not notice this before but it cannot be a GS, because of the "61D" code on the buck tag. (GS would have been 61H.)

Are the front bucket seats "high-back" or "low-back" (with an adjustable headrest)?

It has low back seats with black and white tweed like material with the adjustable headrest, is this vehicle worth anything? It doesn’t have the original paint anymore. Everything else is original.

I was having trouble figuring out what the first character of the INT TRIM was. Couldn't tell if it was B (high-back) or D (low-back).

This car is a Capri L.

Was there a decal for L on the hatch or somewhere on the car?

There may have been an "L" badge on the hatchback liftgate but I'm not sure.

Thank you so much for helping, I do want to restore the car 100%. It does seem reliable and a easy fix for anything

I will soon as I can. The interior has the normal wear on any old car. All original. Torn seats, cracked dash. The paint is painted blue now.

Haven’t work on the car for a few months.. it’s having a fuel issue where the carb bowl is empty. I really want to restore but it’s just I don’t know where to start.
