    Default Will 14" fit my...

...1983 GLX that has the TRX with Handling Pkg?

I found a set of the stock 14" that I'd like to replace the
now-unsafe TRX, just wanted to be sure brakes and other components
wont be in the way of those 14".

    Thanks!

Yes, they will. When I had my '84 GT convertible, it was originally equipped with the TRX wheels. I refurbished a set of the 14" cast aluminum wheels, got a new set of tires and had a shop swap them out .

Same as Gemini...yes they will fit no problem. Not sure what the difference was in the "TRX package" other than maybe springs or struts/shocks...but the brakes were all the same. I use to own a set of 14" that I would put on my 82 GT and 83 GT (TRX cars) on occasion for driving...to preserve the original TRX tires.

Trx package could give ya metric sized tires. They are around 15.4" and the tires cost about $600 a piece.

14" rims fit fine with 10" front discs. 15" would be required if you swap to the later 11" gt brakes.

How about tire sizes? Would 215/70-14 work front and rear? Anything larger?
TireRack.com doesn't have much in the standard 205/70-14 size, and a centimeter wider wouldn't be bad...
as long as it doesn't rub on anything. Keeping stock brakes on it too.
    Thanks again

    Run a tire size calculator.

I like the tocoma world calculator. It just done really well. It helps visualize and show differences in sizes.
