    Default RT hood strut notes

2011, installed Redline Tuning's QuickLIFT 70.00 kit in the Mustang.
    Ordered direct from them.
    100% satisfied.
Liked them so much on the Mustang, installed a QuickLIFT kit on the Ranger soon after.
Have a smile every time they open the hood for me. Time savers.

    Hood has factory hood scoop.
Hood has Ford Racing hood pin kit.
Pull hood release; hood latch releases, then hood rises a little, just as before.
Opening and closing hood is now same procedure as a hatch.
Struts open and close hood the same rate as a hatch with good struts.
Hood stays up securely, even in gusty winds.
    Work fine in cold weather.

Hood wide open is now at a nicely higher angle than with the prop rod (which i removed).
Found out hood struts really do not block access to anything.

Struts are also more classy when poppin' the hood to show off the engine.
Instead of blocking the first impression, you get to stand back, watch the curtain rise, and see the reaction.

Have to add; is comforting to finally feel safe looking or working around back under there in the engine bay.
No worry of being 'bit' hard by the hood when the prop rod comes out of the hole, due to wind gust or a shoulder bump to the hood.

I have them on my 90 vert. Love them and maybe a 30 minute install.

I guess I'm weird. I've rid myself of factory spring hinges and installed a prop rod on a few cars.

I tried the sve hood kit, didn't work. Pushed hood forward and up at cowl ended up taking them off.
