    Default Restored 84 LX Convertible

Its been a long hard road to restore this gem but after finishing out all (or at least most) of the mechanical restoration and repair of this car I finally got it into the body shop.

That too was an odyssey because the first body shop I took the car to turned out to be dishonest and disreputable. Those of you on Long Island stay clear of Atlantic Auto Body of Freeport. They let me car sit for 2 months and all they did in that time was to pull the front bumper cover and body side moldings. Im battling them to get my $1500 deposit refunded. They submitted an "invoice' to the NYS DMV Investigator handling this case that shows they did $1397 in work and they claim they only owe me back $103. I have a case in small claims court on Oct 4th and they have administrative hearing dates with the DMV and the Nassau County Dept of Consumer Affairs. The owner is gonna get fines up the wazoo as well as lose in small claims court.

I had the car moved to 631 Auto Body in Copaigue and they did an amazing job for a very reasonable amount. I cant profess enough how happy I am with their work and work ethic.

    Attaching pics

They took the fenders off and repaired cracks in the frame then rehung and straightened the lines

I finally got my fog lights set up and working.

LX's didn't come with a fog light option so this car is now an LX-GT
