Yes!! Stripe it!
Stripe it for sure! No point in going as far as you have in cloning a Saleen and leaving off that final detail. Don't forget the Ford Motorcraft decals on the rear 1/4 windows, and the Racecraft Suspension decals in place of the 5.0 badges. Oh yeah, and "06" on the driver headlight bucket

Beautiful job trey!.......your very talented........
..oh ya.....Stripe it....
The decals I’m having a hard time finding are the Motorsports decals for the rear windows. I have the Racecraft stickers and numbers for the headlight buckets
I need to track down some clear headlight covers yet.
Lots of other stuff to buy first.
Great input gang - I really appreciate it.
Really all I had to do was put a picture of 006 by one of 007 to see how critical the stripes are.
Glad everyone so far has agreed!
Once i I have the engine parts in hand I may start a build thread just for the 353 - undecided right now

If you are on Facebook, contact Blue Line Graphics. Bruce Allmen is the owner and he can reproduce any decal you need. If you have a good picture and a measurement, he can make it. He does perfect oem decals for high end dirt bike and atv restorations. He might be able to help on the motorsport decals?

Performance autosport sells them:

I bought the "Motorsport" decals off ebay last year but I can't find the correct dark blue 3.5 inch "Ford" ovals. I think the part # for them is M-20000-D100 but they are long discontinued.

Thanks for the info. That’s perauto’s company - didn’t realize they were on Mark’s web site. Thanks!
Some old and new images
hard to believe it’s the same car isn’t it!
if anyone knows where the 85-86 raccoon eye GT was photographed in the Ford marketing material — this car needs to be photographed there when it’s done!
BTW - check out the blue oval-less frontend. Wonder what other non-production things we can pick out about it

Well .... that was an adventure.
Apparently since I complained about a part I never received that I ordered from Blue Oval via eBay those pig bangers decided they were going to block my eBay ID.
CuZ, you know .... I make it a habit of ripping people off and obviously did something wrong.
All I can say about it is ...go pump a football ya monkies.....
Not much to show as we are waiting on parts at this time as noted above.
Test fit the A/C condenser and the radiator. The new radiator didn't come with a drain petcock. So . . . I guess that is good to know early.
Next I need to plumb in the external finned PS cooler.
Personally I think its really cute!

machinist sent the final invoice for my disassembled 353 stroker shortblock. It ships to Omaha Monday
Will have to get on getting the stuff needed to assemble it and plan when to do the trip down to Austin after it’s together.
Can just about guarantee I don’t have near enough carb for it. A problem to solve soon.
I remember you mentioning me lending an eye into this thread, James, and I've been watching. I don't think there's much I can contribute to all of the awesomeness that's happening... *tips hat and gives a thumbs up to the progression in this thread!*... you just be sure and hit me up if you're in need of some zeroed-in appropriate carburetor razor sharp awesomeness for this animal, or even just any dialing in advice if I've got any you haven't already contemplated. Tuning the Edelbrocks (if that's what you're going with?) is spelled out pretty well in their tuning documentation... for wide open throttle, that is, if memory serves... anywho, the greatest of benefits of carburetor tuning always comes first from idle/off-idle/transition changes to suit the combo for what it wants/needs/likes best.
