    Default Duraspark wiring

Orange purple black and green wires coming out of duraspark. All 4 go into pigtail,my current one on the car the green one goes to this other connection and the other 3 are spliced in together no pigtail . If I follow this back towards dizzy there are only 3 wires.so is the green wire supposed to be in the pigtail or cut to go to other connection. I'm going to try to pigtails section that goes from dizzy to duraspark so it's plugged in not spliced but .Car is 85gt.

Not certain what your question is, apologies, but the green from the DuraSpark II BOX is supposed to go to the ignition coil negative... AKA the tach connection on the coil...

Ok .right now it goes into connection in the top picture, so your it should connect to the coil itself. The coil already has wires connected to it. The new duraspark has all 4 wires going into a 4 plug pigtail, so should the green wire be cut a ran to coil

I don't know that anything needs to be cut. I would check continuity from the green going into that rectangular connector and the wire on the coil negative, and/or try to trace where green goes from the other side of that connector. I'm thinking the two points should be the same, and show continuity... eether, either, one way or another, the green from the DS II box goes to the coil negative. What's on the car should be doing that. Otherwise, run it yourself.

Viewing the '85 wiring diagrams PDF file here at FEP, that rectangular plug looks like connector C208 (see pages 2 & 3)... which branches off a couple directions after it, so I wouldn't recommend cutting anything, but seeing whether/if connection is already established from there to the coil negative, continuity. If not, if that's the problem you're having... no start/run or something...?

Sorry ignition box. I have a new one with the 4 wires going into a pigtail, I'm was going to get ( don't have one now) the other pigtail which goes from dizzy to box pigtail but the green wire would be plugged into that connection not the coil which the diagram shows it looks like the green wire runs out to the coil after the plug,so do I just the green wire to the coil after the connection, sorry if I'm being difficult
