This is very easy to do with spray paint. Take the time to mask off properly, clean the area with paint prep and have at it. I did this years ago on my '85 GT. It was Med Canyon Red, and I used Duplicolor Med Canyon Red paint available at the time in a small touch up spray can. The decals are a great idea too should you ever want to back-track.

The last time I checked those mouldings were still available from NPD, and relatively inexpensive at $25 ea.

Who has the original tooling for the moldings? I have a pair that I bought used that are nice but would really love to find some new ones.

if I ever get Saleen called to confirm my 85 is not, GT moldings might become one of only a few subtle queues that it is not a "real" car. That and the 006 numbering......

I would assume Dennis Carpenter has the GT molds, but I can't neither confirm nor deny that assumption.

Don't know if this is another production run deal or license deal either. Hopefully they are available again in the near future.
