What shorty style headers work for these? I know Ford discontinued them, but what can be bought new that'll work with normal spark plugs and wires?

MAC makes them. I haven't used them so I can't comment on fit. http://www.shop.macperformance.com/M...ders-50158.htm

I'd love to have these for the 79 cobra. I've just spent way too much lately. Just bought 2 sets of heads and parts for another ar build, not to mention a bunch of smaller parts for the pace car to get it running. I don't suppose you would be interested in a partial trade for any other parts?

Great deal considering all the new parts. Valves, guides, springs, retainers, seals, keys. + machine work. Up here in the northeast that machine work alone is
    $4-500.00 Not including the parts.
