78 futura 302 smog delete

Was thinking of getting my car together and wondering what to do. Deleting smog pump using vbelt on factory 78 302 futura.
Now do I need to get a shorter belt or does it run on a different belt than the alt/water pump.
I dont have time to mock it up to answer this question.
Or will be next weekend.

You tell us. Open the hood and look. In general, eliminating the air pump simply requires a shorter belt... measure the f-ing perimeter without the air pump and hit the utility belt aisle...
