    Thumbs up F/S 1985 Mustang GT 5 speed T-top

    F/S: 1986 GT T-top 5-speed

The car has 67,xxx miles showing (not actual miles on title). The car has been repainted, paint is very nice. I believe the heater core is going, its not leaking, but I get a slight coolant smell. I do have an OEM replacement in the box. The interior is in great shape.

Good luck! That faint smell of antifreeze likely stands between you and your asking price. Heater core swaps are a giant pain in the rear on factory AC cars!

Drop the column and dash entirely. Cut up the heater box or purge the AC and drop the box too. Force the old heater core out and somehow manuver the new one back in without damaging it. Spend the next 4 hours putting everything back how it was. It just plain sucks. I've done 5 now and I swear never again every time! Fix the core and put in a flow restrictercon the high pressure side - it will add value whereas a blown heater core severely detracts.

Nice car. I wouldn't sweat the heater core leak. Just bypass the heater core. Don't you northern guys put your cars to bed for the winter anyway?
