    Default Brand new(to me)1980 Fairmont!!!!

I sold my 86 Coupe last year and the foxbody bug got me again. I found this one local and brought it home. It is a 1980 Ford Fairmont Futura. It was a 200 six cylinder/auto car. The engine was already gone when I got it. I am going to put a 302/C4 with an 8.8 and 3.55s. I have a K member and brakes from an 87 GT. I am going to have to sort out the column shift linkage, but other that it should be easy. If anyone has pics of the shift linkage I would really like to see it. I have none of it.

Looks good and the stripe is great. How did you find it? Any interior shots?

It has been sitting since 2001. It has been parked at the same place for at least 4 years. I have everything except shift linkage. I had a lot of Fox parts stashed.

My car('80 Fairmont) had I6/C4, now has 302/C4. Imade the stock column shift linkage work with a little modification. I'm running the frpp stainless short tubes with 2 1/2" catless x-pipe. I seem to be over my limit for posting pics on this site. If you PM me your email, I'll send some pics of the linkage.

Tonight the K member comes out. Brakes, K member, rack and sway bar are out of a 93 GT. I have B springs to put under it.

The springs are fighting me since I have no engine.

Engine and brakes are in. I pulled thr 7.5 and I will start building an 8.8 next weekend. The gas tank was nasty, so I ordered a new one.

A new gas tank is coming. The old one was nasty. This is the filler neck.
