Well, I'm finally getting the time and funds to get to explore and experience my Capri. I dig this car.
For those of you who haven't seen pics of it, these are recent, not the best, but you'll get an idea of what I'm up against.
I absolutely LOVE how tough this thing looks up front. uNf!

Gotta sand it down and get it to match the rest of the car. Long story behind the hatch and I don't know much of it.

The gauges I tossed in due to the car being unknown and high mileage so that I could keep an eye on some things. Boost gauge to come

My two "fun mod" parts
I'm going to have an ordeal getting it titled as it's a Georgia car with no title. Damn title optional state for model year 85 and earlier. Nice. It passed emissions and I'm now starting to putt around in it enough to learn it's quirks and problems to be addressed.
This weekend I went to see about getting my 3" exhaust all the way back. That should come in a few weeks Even gonna think about before and after dyno pulls if i can do it cheap enough. Just one before and one after. Yeah, I'm a dork.
The brakes need bled desperately, got wheel cylinders for the drums, pads look okay. Going to try to work on the paint that I have and get a match for the non-factory grey that it is. DESPERATELY need 83-84 style decals for the car. A cool aftermarket fan is going on as the factory one is giving up the ghost. This one will look muuuuuch better, and more importantly, perform better in the PHX heat. Trying to think of what else is going on with it. Wiper motor is having a fit...found that out in the rain. HAHA!
The turbo is a blast. Despite the 200 hp difference between this car and my GT, I'm having too much fun with this RS.
I'm glad to finally have a Capri and even more grateful that I was able to find a Turbo RS in one piece and pretty much fully functional. I'd like to think this car has found it's way into the right hands.
Nothing like having two Capris in the garage
