Fox mustang brake upgrade mistake
About 5 years ago I upgraded my '85's brakes. I installed aero brakes in front and turbo coupe rear brakes along with an 8.8.
I assumed I had a 15" rim spare tire......
Well I've been looking for a 15" aluminum spare tire. Found one last week. Cleaned it up an replaced my old spare.
Guess what, my old spare was 14". It would never have cleared the brakes.
So for my 4 eye friends and aeronose 4 cylinder conversions, check your spare will clear your brakes!
Doesnt the rear clear the 14" spare? I know the turbo coupes came with the larger spare to clear the 11" front brakes, by the 14" spare clears the stock 10". I would assume it should clear the rear, but ive never had a turbo coupe setup to try it on.
