Amen!! However in mentioning the BJ cars he fails to mention there is no proof the sales actually went through. I stand firm until I see proof that those cars never changed $$ for titles. Just a smoke & mirrors auction which did nothing but ruin other sellers perception on value.

Sadly there are FAR more horrible ads out there on ebay/craigslist than sellers that take the time to describe and photograph their cars to sell.

Even with nice pictures, honest description and tons of work done - the value isn't there. They are fun cars but everyone needs to stop pretending they are are 10k cars stock. They are not. I paid 1500 for my car and have spent well over 10k restoring it. I couldn't even get interest at 2500,and was told here it's worth 3500. Just drive your fox and enjoy it, don't count on it to put your kid through school unless you pass it on to them and they use it to get to community college.

I have been watching Caleb start and run his FCM empire over the last couple of years. Really a smart concept to turn our passion into a potential meida business. It definitely has a lot of potential.

The article is definitely true about buying a Fox. I've seen some really terrible ads.

It's really common sense stuff. And as for value, ask what the market will bear. A really nice car will attract the right buyer at a premium price. A lesser car not so much. Often the seller thinks his car is nicer than it is and its tough to tell them differently. I've sold several of my classic cars over the years and am not afraid to ask all the money. Ya for every 10 people who tell me I'm nuts I get 1 that sees the value. In the end I have always got my price because the car is represented well.
