Does the a/c cutout switch on the carb need to be connected at all for the a/c to work? The wiring is there but I have a Holley 600 on the car now so no solenoid.

Not sure if that's helps but here is an old thread on jumping it.

Just install a jumper wire in the plug. Thats what I did on mine.
Is it the two pronged female plug with one red wire and one black with green stripe wire? If it is, I have no power to it and nothing at the clutch plug either. I do have power at the pressure switch back by the firewall on the drier. Is the black wire on the drier a ground wire or are both wires hot? I only checked the pink? wire.
the WOT switch wires are red/yellow and solid red. You can jump those. Or jump the wires at the WOT relay. jump the pink/ light blue wire to the black/ yellow wire
