Default What if your old car FOUND YOU and it's for Sale?

....but you weren't looking for it, LOL. I am scared I will never have the opportunity to own it again if I don't jump on it but I wasn't really looking for another car. In fact, I am trying to sell some! It's my old GT350 I sold 16 years ago. I made the guy promise to give me first right on it if he ever went to sell it and now he is 70 and he has offered it to me.

If I were you...I would jump on the opportunity. That is a beautiful car. I have been searching for years for my car that I sold back in 1999. I wish mine would come back to me as easily as yours. It is destiny, you cannot deny it.

That would be an easy one for me - BUY IT!

However the 84 GT-350 is on my bucket list since I've never actually owned one to date....

Buy it! Most people don't get a second chance at going back.

I am not sure I am either. I just felt bad when I sold it but I am glad I have owned all the Mustangs I have owned since then too. I actually sold it to buy a motorcycle (which I still own oddly enough) and I literally just listed it for sale THIS WEEK, which is somewhat odd based on all this timing.

Yep been there and did that as I was just able buyback my first new car I owned a couple months ago...Why honestly I don't know. Yes there is some sentimental value, have most all of its original paperwork and got her back 35 years to the day I took delivery of it back in 82 all neat stuff. But it's always been a love-hate with this one...loved everything about it except for the fact It got T tops instead of the Recaro's I wanted. With all the Mustangs, Chargers, etc I have owned this one is NOT the one I wish I never sold. But I'm glad I got her back for other reasons.

It's nice to here the current owner remembered your " gentleman's agreement " to have first dibs and kinda sounds like other things are in play to getting your car back! Good luck on making that choice I know it's a difficult one especially when trying to thin the collection down. After all it is a good looking car

    Well that explains a lot!

As for the the OP's question, I would probably buy the first car I truly loved back in a heartbeat, pending I was in a position to do so and the car was remotely in the same condition I sold it. To this day, I still think about how awesome it would be to own that mint condition 79 T-Bird again. I still miss it.

Does anyone live in 60098 Illinois that would want to look at this car? I don't want to inconvenience anyone to drive 1 or 2 hours. Just curious if anyone actually lives there.

The previous owner of my 86 has tried (no less than 7 times) to buy my car back...... I stay in touch occasionally but mainly to torture him. I hate how he treated my car, etc. but that's another story.

Buy it or one day you will have regrets.
