Hey all, just wondering how close in shape Mustang rocker panels are to Fairmont rocker panels. If they are not identical, are they at least close enough to shape them onto a Fairmont?

The design is a little different, but I believe they are interchangeable.

Not close (assuming that the Mustang is the same as the Capri).

Contour taken at B-pillar on my '78 Fairmont and picture taken at B-pillar on my '85 Capri (McLaren).

I have a repro rocker in the garage that I just buried in the corner today I dont know if there is one or two in the box. I can try to get to them and see what they look like if you want.

I was thinking you meant the rocker trim piece.

What is that contour tool thing you're using to compare the shapes, Mike?

Purchased many years ago (from Eastwood I believe). Many available such as https://www.homedepot.com/s/contour%2520gauge?NCNI-5

Huh, I've seen those things in the tool section before, but didn't realize what they were for.
So as luck would have it I was able to see the repro rockers I have tonight. I have two and yes unfortunately they are the same shape as the Capri
