Default Intake Manifold - Heater Delete 83 gt

As my heating system was not in the best of shape I have taken it out for the time being on my 83 GT. Now I am left with a space on the intake manifold where it used to connect to the heater core, what size bolt/fitting can I put in there to seal it ?

I would not recommend a bolt as the hole in the manifold is designed for a pipe fitting.

Most likely the fitting will be anything from a 3/8 to 1/2" NPT. Go to Home Depot, Lowe's, or your local hardware store to purchase the pipe plugs. You can get a rough idea of the size by what size bolt will fit in the opening. You might need to buy a couple of sizes to be safe if you are unsure of the sizing. Either way you can take them back for a refund if not used.

Otherwise you can order plugs from Summit Racing, Jegs, and others online if you want something that is more aesthetically pleasing! Good Luck!

Pipe sizes and bolt sizes have no relation. Here is a link to basic pipe dimensions: http://machiningproducts.com/html/NP...imensions.html
