Default ScottRod Fab made me another one off part

I live down the road from ScottRod Fab and they made me some really nice door panels for my Ranger a while ago so I stopped in to talk to them about making a core support filler panel for my 83 Tbird like they do for the other Foxbodies. I cut out a pattern in cardboard then handed it off to them. Couldnt be happier with how it fits and I swear the first day I drove the car it ran 5* cooler on the e-way.

Only one spot I had to put a notch in for the bolt that holds the hood latch.

Very cool! This bird just keeps getting better!

It's cool that a company like that will produce a one off part with a cardboard template. It's nice to know and gives me a resource to look into for the future.

Im huge supporter of local business. I love having these guys right around the corner from me as a bonus. Scott and his wife are great people in general and they do a great job providing us with some first class products for our niche market. If your not familiar with them check out their website and look thru the stuff they make for us.

Scott is going to help me on my 88 Ranger drag truck by making one of his 79-86 aluminum Foxbody dashes fit my Ranger as our next project.

    Thanks for posting this.
    Are they on Secor Rd?
Sometimes companies like this get forgotten, then cannot find when needed.
Now is a bookmark in my car parts section for sure.

Was not aware they are withing an hour drive from me.
Although shipping is reasonable, a 60 mile drive is more fun for this.

Defiantly can use a few items.
Frame rail repair kit, 1/4 panel repair patches, the rad panels.
    Prices are right too.

Those rad panels look clean neat and even practical.
Many times have dropped items, sockets, down front.

I agree local is best. Make things more of a possibility to get done quicker and correctly.
Ability to fab one off items is a big plus.

Red Line Tuning near Ann Arbor.
Another good local company that like to help customers.
Got hood struts for the Mustang and Ranger from them.
Items that make a huge difference working under hood.
