Default 1980S PERFORMANCE? YES! - The Simeone Foundation Auto Museum

Neat to see a world class museum acknowledge the 80's performance cars!

They are looking for cars, you can submit an entry here:

My SVO isn't clean enough. Typical 80's paint LOL. I'd like to get my 87 TC in for that. Just have some bugs to work out beforehand.

Only if they are looking for a 'survivor'.

Actually Simeone does collect a lot of survivor cars so maybe I have a chance.

The Mustang Club of Central PA that I am a long time member of took a trip to the Simeone recently but we didn't go because I can't stand the traffic down there around that area.

I took a trip to Pennsylvania in late April, and in addition to visiting 5 drag strips, G Force transmissions, we also toured both the AACA Museum in Hershey, and the Simione Museum in Philidelphia. I don`t recall seeing a SVO at AACA, however, other than a Cosworth Vega, a 70 Chevelle SS454, and a 1970 AMX, a 72 Mercury Police car,I don`t recall seeing anything newer than the 1960s. Very impressive display of Tuckers however! Same deal at Simione, other than Bill Elliots NASCAR 80s Thunderbird, and a few newer electric cars, mostly vintage stuff. Certainly an interesting collection though, including a real Cobra Daytona Coupe and a pair of 60s GT 40s were on display. Dozens of rare, mostly pre WW2 race cars on hand.
