Default Will a Front license plate bracket fit?

I have a front license plate bracket from an 86GT, will it fit on my 84 SVO?
The reason I can't just go check it out is, I am in Az & the car is still in Washington.
If it is a fit, I will take it with me tomorrow when I fly back up there and install it on the SVO with my Route 66 plate.

What I would recommend is go to a Ford parts department and inquire if the same bracket fits an 86 SVO and a 86 GT.

The SVO typically used the metal lic. Bracket with a frame cover. My buddy has a plastic one on his but I'm not sure of the year/model it came from. He swears it's original and he bought it new. That would likely make it theE5ZZ17A385A one I think. 85-93 LX. Kind of the only choice out there for replacements.

Thanks for the suggestion. I didn't think they woud still carry OEM stuff like that.

Thanks for that information Kevin, I am going to carry this plastic one with me & see if it fits. If not, I will contact a Ford Dealer so see if i can et a new one from them.

Oh you thought right, they won't carry any OEM stuff like that. He's recommending you ask the Ford parts department if the part number for the license bracket on an 86 GT is the same as an 86 SVO. If they are then you'll know it fits.
