    Default 9mm ford racing wires

Anyone know where I can get just the 9mm ford racing coil wire? Mine snapped in half at the boot on the coil. Would suck if I had to pay another 50 for just the coil wire from the set...

Last time I ohmed out a set of those they were terrible. All 9 wires all over the place.

    Personally I wouldn't run them.

Erratic50, what's a good wire to run? I need to order a set for the pace car...331 stroker.

what ignition system is in use?

    compression ratio?

    plug temp?

    Nitrous?

    Forced induction?

Assuming factory stuff, I would usually just go to the parts store and ohm out a few sets of in-stock brands. If I don't like what I see because of vast inconsistency I'll go to another Mcparts store. Napa is where I sometimes ended up before I found what I wanted.

These days I currently run some low miles stock 86 wires I sourced from a friend that had them on his shelf for many years and took them off for no reason.

In my experience, FMS 9's have also shown tendencies to corrode on the cap FYI.

I've never had any issues with FRPP wires, from stock to 700+ hp. My next choice would be a Taylor wire.

It's what I love about this site.

You hear how much mileage varies on certain parts.

The manufacturer certainly won't tell you about anything but how great they are.

Glad to hear of some success. I've had two different sets with two different problems.

One more thing to consider - 9mm doesn't fit very well in stock wire management clips.
