    Default Single Port PCV Valve

I know the ones you buy at the McPart stores have 2 ports, one that gets capped off on my 84 GT. But in images of low mile engine bays or pics from when they were new, i see single port PCV valves on carb 5.0s. I'm assuming the newer 5.0s need both ports so they just make one PCV for the parts stores. Does anyone have a part number or know where to get an original type?

I'm curious to know this also. Since I did the Fast EFI conversion, my PCV valve on the drivers side hits the double port one I have. The EFI is just a bit shorter than a carb and that's where my issue lies.

I bought new caps and they're higher than stock. So now its hitting my d/s air cleaner tube. If I had one of those single ports, it would fit no problem. I was just going to pick up any old one at the part store, but I'm reading that PCV's are specifically dialed in to your application. I don't want any issues.

Can't you just remove the elbow from a single port PCV valve and install it onto your PCV valve?

I didn't think they separated that way?

    Hey, thanks for noticing!

Because I realized a single port pcv for our cars does exist and thought a more focused request in a new thread would be more appropriate.

Purolator part number PV140. It comes up under 1985 Mustang GT CFI. It is a single hose connector top. I sell them, in stock, here at Pep Boys.
