Default In Honor of Memorial Day....A VERY Sneak Peek at My Tribute GT500 Build

As a 12 year vet of active duty I first want to say THANK YOU to all my brothers and sisters who've served and/or continue to do so. Not to mention the families that make the sacrifices alongside them. Mostly to the families of those that never made it home. Today is a day to honor each of you. Not to be sold short are the brave men and women of our law enforcement who keep us safe at home.

For the last 2 years I've been working on a very special project car that is incredibly near and dear to my heart as I lost a twin brother to murder who was also prior military as well as being a police officer when he died. I wanted to immortalize him the best way I knew how.....by building his dream car in his honor.

I won't say or show too much as I plan on unveiling the car fully in the next 60 days but I wanted to drop this here.

    The car:
    2012 GT500
    2900 miles
    Whipple powered 750+ RWHP
"murdered out" in honor of my twin (yes I have black wheels as well...The HRE's seen are just another set I have for the car)
Thin blue line striping with one off rocker stripes to honor all of our fallen heroes
"tattered" thin blue line American flag themed artwork in engine bay

The public has literally NEVER seen this car. I bought it, parked it, and started building it. Enjoy

    Totally Bad A$$ GT500!

Thank you and your brother for your service!

Sorry to hear about the loss of your brother. I hope the GT500 can help to sooth that wound as I know it will never heal and he will never be forgotten!

As long as that compliment is "pointed" at the car and not me....then thank you very much! Lol

Life offers you some incredibly bitter moments I've learned. It's come with it's fair share of darkness for me no question. Thank you for the condolences.

As as far as the car is concerned, I think the biggest cosmetic payoff was removing ALL the exterior ABS plastic (grille, hood vent, front splitters, side skirts and splitters, rear balance, side mirrors, nav antenna, etc) that is the factory charcoal color and repainting it true matte black. Made a HUGE difference and makes for a one off look that really completes the total blackout I was after. Quite a bit more sinister than the day I picked it up

Nice looking car. I nearly bought a GT500 myself a few years back.

every time I see these things I can't help but let my evil motor swapper gene influence my thinking. As a guy that dropped a few built 455's into GM G-body cars back in my younger years I guess it's no surprise.

That drivetrain would go great in a lighter chassis....just sayin. A foxbody would make for a ride that embarrasses the best super cars on the planet. Torque to weight ratio....
