Possible brake light issue

As long as I have owned my car, and 84 Convertible, I have had situations when other drivers pull up and tell me I have no brake lights or that one of them is out. yet every time I check, they are both on and working. I just replaced all the bulbs with LEDs and they are super bright.

Yesterday again someone told me I have no brake lights and when I got home and checked all lights were on and bright.

All wiring in the trunk is original and intact. Ground is clean and not causing a problem. I have had this checked out more than once.

I'm thinking maybe my brake light switch is sometimes not working. Is that possible?

If so does anyone have the Motorcraft part number for the switch?

The brake light switch is the first thing that popped into my mind when reading your post. Don't have the motorcraft number but that shouldn't be that difficult to obtain.
