Default SN95 Parking Brake Cable Attachment To Calipers

So, I ordered the correct E-clips to retain the cables to the calipers, but there's a pretty good-sized gap to the inside of the clip. Is that okay? Should i put some washers in there?

The clips are only there IMO to keep it from dragging if you break the end off. The cables should have some tension on them, so the E-clip should never touch anything. Leave it as is.
