I have the Maximum Motorsports manual brake kit with a 93Cobra Master Cylinder in my 84Gt Turbo, it's not all the bad when you have a good set of Hawk pads. I wouldn't recommend it on a daily driver though.

i also have the mm kit with a 93 cobra MC with 98 cobra brakes front and rear. I haven't driven it yet(I'm hoping to finish the car tomorrow) so I can't say how well it works for me. So, I can give you a better answer once i drive it hehe.

Pull the hose off the brake booster and go for a spin. A proper manual pedal has a different piviot ratio making it take less effort, usually 1/4 to 1/3rd less effort. So if you can deal with it through the booster okay, then go for it.

All the booster does is assist how hard you are pushing the pedal. Ive driven old manual brake cars and trucks that were setup so you didnt have to push any hard then a power brake car. Its all in the pedal piviot point ratio. Just gotta make sure you have enough travel on the pedal without putting too kuch force on the piviot point.

so i didn't drive it today(started it up atleast), but i was getting over 1500psi with just a firm pedal hold. so, I'm not worried anymore about not being able to make enough pressure to stop the car.

You could also modify your own brake pedal arm.

I drove one of my cars with manual brakes for a while. Takes getting used to, but done correctly will work good.

I converted my 85 Mustang to both manual brakes and manual steering, using all factory pieces from stripper 79-82 Mustangs and Capris., and have also got manual stuff from early Fairmonts. I figured that Ford did the engineering, I may as well take advantage of their efforts.
