Default Front and rear bumper cover moldings 86

I am correct in assuming that the molding on the front and rear cover are molded in and not replaceable? That's what I have been told and I haven't tried removing any of mine yet just planning for paint time later this year. I have an 86 GT. There are a few nicks and deep scratches in the front molding that's why I ask. Thanks.

The moldings on the bumpers are part of the bumper cover assembly and not removable. You can do repair work on the urethane bumper cover moldings just like any other urethane part. If you are handy and want to do the repairs yourself, I highly recommend the Evercoat brand of fillers, glazes, etc. For bumper covers I personally prefer Evercoat Poly Flex 411. Works really well, sticks well, can be sanded and feather edged. Hope that helps.
