I have 85-131 that I am thinking about selling. I just bought two Saleens as a package and have decided to keep one. I knew this car needed a little work when I bought it, but I think rather than get into a project I will just buy a turnkey car that I can enjoy right know. The car is super solid and has been painted. The paint job is excellent. They put the old side moldings back on which I would change. They have some waves to them and they have been painted black. My plan was to pull the motor out and do all the gaskets, and check everything and clean up the engine compartment. The rugs are new and the headliner and door panels are new. The seats have been redone and are mint but the material is not a perfect match to original. My plan was to find a set of super clean/mint original seats and install them. The car was sitting inside for years before I bought it. The p.o. bought a new carb and threw it on to get it running for shipping. It Starts and runs but needs fine tuning. The needle on the speedo was broken so I am sending the speedo out to be fixed. The car has a ton of potential to be a excellent car. My thinking was to do the seats, moldings, clean engine bay and be done. I am shifting positions and would rather buy a low mile original GT. The car is 100% legit, I checked with Saleen. I have already started accumulating parts and will continue to do so. So as time goes by the price may go up a bit depending on what I buy for it.
I will list better pics later but the weather here is bad and I need to wait for a decent day to pull it out of the garage. I am not looking to give this away. I do not need the money, so if I do not get what I want, I will stick it away and get to it down the road. These cars are definitely going to start climbing in value. and with 130 made....they do not come up for sale that often. a couple grand makes this a beautiful car.
Lastly, as is with most 85 Saleens the front lower valance is an 86 style. The car is located in Taunton MA. (02780)
I am looking for $10.900 The hard expensive work is done (paint). It would probably cost $8-9K just to paint another car. My cell is 508.558.8039 if you have any questions, or want any more details
Thanks
