    Default Spat studs or screws?

Where can you get the replacement screws for the spats and the fender nose cone attachment screws. Or what do you do to do to without the factory style.
    Thanks

Replacement screws are nothing more than a large flange/washer head phillips in black.

The studs for the spats are 1/4-20 flange nuts IIRC. If they are metric then they should be a standard 8MM flange nut.

Honestly much of this you can probably pick up at a local hardware store, or a place like Fastenal. Otherwise check with any of the Mustang vendors such as NPD. They stock a lot of OEM hardware and probably your best bet.

Yes I know there is the nut that holds on the spat but i need the price that is on the spat to put the nut on to. I think they are the same as the ones on the nose cone also they look like the marker light studs on lmr.com but I am not sure if they are big enough.

Nothing in your first post asks about replacement studs for the spats.

I had to go check my spats to verify. The studs for the spats are most likely either an 8-32 or a 10-32 thread. The studs are pressed into a bracket that holds the spat up tight against the body. The studs themselves are probably not available as a replacement part. Most likely you will have to either weld a regular bolt/screw into the bracket or try to find something else that will work.

Thanks, I have a 86gt the spats are different. The studs are molded into the spat itself I think. But I found something that will work. They are called hanger bolts. Bolt thread on one side and screw thread on the other. I think these will work.

So are you referring to the front fender extensions as spats?

My guess is that is what you are working on. If that is the case, then the parts in question are generally referred to as front fender extensions. The term spats for a Fox Mustang is generally used when referring to the spat behind the doors on the SVO Mustangs and the spats behind the rear wheel on the early Saleen Mustangs.

The studs you need are the same as the front head light reinforcement pieces. The thread size should be 1/4-20.

These can be made to work if you need several pieces: https://lmr.com/item/LRS-16630HDW/mu...dware-kit-7982

Or these can work if you only need a couple: https://lmr.com/item/HDW-13200/79-86...ht-Install-Kit
