If I am not mistaken the dual snorkel air cleaner vacuum motors should have vacuum pulling the trap doors shut at cold startup/ high idle to allow hot air from the exhaust manifold/headers to drift up into the air cleaner/intake to help warm the car up. After reaching operating temp the vacuum should release, opening the trap doors so cold air can be sucked into the intake.
Mine are closed when the car is at operating temp restricting air flow when driving. The system is controlled by the TVS valve and the air cleaner temp sensor like these. I put NOS parts in last summer.

I looked at my vacuum diagram under the hood and its hard to tell which side of the TVS valve is left or right since its round and can be installed any which way.
Can anyone show a diagram or specifically tell me which way to run the vacuum lines on the air cleaner? For now I pulled the 2 lines and plugged them since warming up isn't a big concern in Springtime but I do want to correct this. I feel a big power difference since I released vacuum on those vacuum motors.
