Well, like idiots, we managed to drop the little 2.3 between the engine stand and securing it to the engine hoist. Thought that there was no damage incurred, but found the crank pulley was bent mid-installation.

Can these be straightened out with heat and hammer or is it better to replace it? Would anything else be damaged inside the engine? Crank nose or timing cover or ?

Are there crank pulleys available aftermarket or would it be best to replace with another stock pulley?

If this happened to a SBC/SBF I'd be all set, but the 2.3 is new territory for me/us and I don't want to make any mistakes that will come back on me later. Hoping to build it up later on, but for now just want to get it installed and running well.

Any info or suggestions would be very much appreciated—

Thanks !
