Default Anyone seen this type Mexican 1982 SVO/Mustang

So I ran across this interesting Mexican 1982 Mustang/SVO today.
It's equipped with a 5.0 and a manual 4 speed, SVO front end on a Mustang body with red interior.
Anyone ever see this type of combo on a Mexican Mustang/SVO?

    Some interior pics.
Note the rear seat splits in two, has one SVO tail light and the rear hatch has a wiper.

I am going to go with a front end sheet metal swap. Nothing more than that.

Same here. That rear spoiler did not exist prior to 84. If you look at the part number on it, it will be E4ZX-...... same for the nose parts.

    Nice car.

I see the same thing you guys see. Lots of E4 parts. SVO front end, SVO tail light, 83+ tail light and 4E+ rear seat.

Kinda dig the wheels. I remember them on the Escort and Tempo in the early 80's.

Agree it looks like nothing but a front end swap and some other parts from later model 4 Eyes.

Nothing to see here . . . Keep moving!

Although I do have to admit that outer marker lamps are in very good condition . . . .

It is a mix and match of a 1982 with parts from an American SVO (mainly front end), the seats are from a 87 - 93 car, the air filter in the engine bay is not from the original car as well.

Only year a Mexican SVO existed was 1984 and it had the same front end as the 1984 GT from the US (supposedly there were a couple Mexican SVOs with the front end of the American cars that were part of a magazine article - they were dealer installed, kind of like the "Cobra Kit" on my 81 Fastback which was added as a dealer installed kit)

Did the Mexican SVO have the V8 engine like all the rest of them?
