    Default Rear brake line??

I remember some of you guys have used a rear brake line from a truck application when converting the earlier cars to true dual exhaust. Does anyone have an actual part number for this piece? I seem to think it was from a 84 F150?? Would like to order one from Rock Auto.

    Thanks,

When I did mine, I used the rear axle brake line kit and found the bracket on ebay to emulate the later model lines. The body line to the axle, I cut used a double locking "swagelok" connector and ran a new line to the bracket.

I thought I had pics of it, but I can't seem to locate them now.

Found some. While this may not be the worlds greatest "fix" I have yet to have an issue and I keep a close eye on it. One day when I redo the brakes and upgrade, I will do all new lines from front to rear.

An inverted flare 90º brake line fitting at the end of the factory hard line is a perfectly acceptable way to tie in an
extension. Early Foxen all had one near the passenger-side hood hinge, if you're going boneyard hunting. You will
also need the center brake hose chassis bracket and union from an '85 or newer Fox 5.0 Mustang. You could also
grab the axle hard lines from a donor, but these are available new, and you definitely would want to use a new
    hose/bracket assembly.

    Hi
I am about to re-route my rear brake line from a single exhaust location to the center mounted dual exhaust spot.
I am keeping the 7.5" axle. If I get a center mount bracket as shown in the pictures above, what hose do I need? https://lmr.com/item/LRS-2073BRKT/mu...-bracket-86-93
Does the 86 8.8 rear brake hose fit with the 7.5"? https://lmr.com/item/LRS-2282B/86-95...ear-Brake-Hose
Will the 8.8 axle brake lines also work for me?

I used this center mount rear brake hose

    https://lmr.com/item/LRS-2282B/86-95...ear-Brake-Hose

I did swap out the 7.5 and put in an 8.8 though. There is a mounting hole on the 8.8 housing to mount that bracket, not sure if the 7.5 has that hole or not.

But maybe the hole could be drilled?

Thanks, I will crawl back under the car tonight to see if the flange has a hole or can be drilled. I need the same picture you just posted of a 7.5.
Axle lines should be close enough to make work?
Should have done all of this before I installed the new exhaust.

I can't remember the details as it's been awhile. My 1985 GT had an 8.8 rear end installed when the 7.5 unit cratered. I replaced all 3 of the soft rubber brake lines on the car when I got it given the car had been sitting for 17 years. I recall that rear center looked the same but the one for the 1985 would not work and I had to get the unit for the 1986 GT...one was longer/shorter than the other from what I remember...

I wonder if this is the right hose I am looking for with a 7.5 rear end.
There is a hole in the axle housing but is used by the vibration dampener assy. This might utilize the same bolt/location.

I removed that dampener assembly for what it’s worth.
I junked my 7.5 last year or else I could get you a pic of it.
I made all new lines so don’t know for sure about the 8.8 lines but I bet they would fit a 7.5
