Not sure how good these will show...best I could get of the under body. No rust that I could see on frame rails, shock towers, inner/lower fender aprons, lower doors, under the hatch, etc... Really appears to be a rust free car.

Jason, thanks for the report and pics. Looks like a unique car in decent shape can be had for reasonable money.
I'm starting to agree with you on the paint ... maybe an older repaint. The body pinstripes ... shouldn't these be true painted pinstripes, or else thin tape stripes instead of those wide strips of tape? I'm pretty sure the pinstripes on my 79 Capri were painted, except for adhesive stripes at the front bumper cover.
Is there undercoating?

Nice write-up. The pics turned out fine. This would be a fine car for someone.

Thanks for checking it out. I always love seeing a French vanilla interior car turn up. Hopefully someone picks this one up and keeps it original.
I believe those are correct stripes for the RS package. There was no undercoating that I noticed, but again I could not crawl under the car for a thorough look. There was no undercoating in the engine bay. However the car did get a dealer/Ziebart rust protection in the usual areas, evident by the drill-plugs in the door jambs.

If I was in the market for a car to restore over time, and I had the space to store it I would gladly pay $5k for this canvas. Plus it is nearly identical to my first car when I was 16! But that is not in the cards for me. So somebody else needs to jump on this one
