    Default Aftermarket 90's Alarms

Anyone familiar with the older aftermarket alarm systems and how they installed? Particularly I am interested in the vehicle theft deterrent aspect....meaning when the alarm is armed, the car cannot be started even after breaking in and cutting the siren. My problem is I have a '92 LX that has been sitting since 2003. The guy I got the car from has lost the key fobs, so I will be forced to remove the alarm system....which is fine by me anyway. Just curious if this part of the circuitry was usually spliced into the ignition wires in the column somewhere, or if they generally spliced into the clutch pedal sensor? I won't get to tare into the car for a few months, but just looking to wrap my head around this project before I get started.

All 3 of my alarms are from different manufactures but they all are basically wired the same.
The orange wire is what controls the Starter Interrupt feature. It is wired to a relay.
I think if you follow the orange wire you will find the relay and then find where it is spliced in.
Here are two of my installation sheets along with the wording of how it is wired.
    Hope it helps.

There are a couple of guys who supply gobs on ebay. Try searching Ford remotes. In the end you will need to determine the brand Ford or otherwise. I have installed a few Ford kits.

I picked up a 92 a few months back. It took me 15 minutes to by pass the dead alarm system. I'm looking to go with something simpler. They make a relay controlled by a fob.

Turns out it is not an aftermarket, rather it is a dealer installed installed alarm that I am going to leave in place. The fob is long gone but that is ok. There is a "kill button" mounted under the dash that you have to press in while turning the key in order for the starter solenoid to fire. The system goes into "auto kill" about one minute after the key is turned off, and flashes the small red alarm light mounted on the dash. Pretty cool. I actually got to see this first in on two SAAC MKII's this weekend. Apparently it was a popular Ford Motorsport add on back in the day.
