Thanks Trey. This weekend I worked on the rear bumper and prime the front of the car. I had noticed hairline cracks on the rear bumper and purchased Lord Fusor repair for it. I’ve had this problem on my Capri and it eventually bled through. If anyone has experience with a successful repair please let me know.

Yes, I have had the same issues on most of the original Four Eyed bumpers both front and rear. I like the Lord Fusor products and have used that on a few. I also like the Evercoat Poly Flex as I have used and still use that too. The SEM urethane bumper primer seems to work pretty well too. If the cracks can't be caught with a finger nail, then I will sand, prep, and use one or more of the products listed above. If I can feel them with my finger nail, then I will often either feather edge them or sand down to the base urethane material, then filler, primer, what have you. Good Luck!

Just curious if anyone was able to open the link?
The link works for me.
Great, thanks
The weather was great for working in the garage again and my wife left for Toronto for a few days. Uninterrupted work on the pace car is a rare treat.
I have a few pictures on the link below (the newest one are at the bottom).
One question: what do people think of the Saleen wheels from the late 80’s (there is a picture in the album).

Ok, let’s try this again. I did some minor repairs to the hatch and a few other small areas. To keep overspray to a manageable level, I prime 1/2 the car at a time. As of now, everything has been primed at least once.
Putting epoxy primer on
Last question, what are people’s thoughts on these wheels.
It’s finally all one colour.
Nice Do you have a lot more blocking and bodywork left to do now?
I hope I’m nearly done. Once more with a few touch ups at the end show over it.
Congrats on the progress. You're getting close to getting color back on that Pace Car

I love those wheels. Though I'm not sure how they will look on a pace car. What color wheels ate you thinking?(please dont say black. I hate black wheels)

Thanks everyone, I was hoping to polish the outside and go with a grey in the center. The existing colour is silver and I don’t know how well it will look with the pewter colour.
That sounds like a good color combo. I would make the wheel color a little darker silver than the car.

I found a picture of my 69 cougar and thought I’d share it with all of you. It was an XR7 with a 390 and factory tilt away steering, I wish all cars had that today. Those are old school 14” ET torque thrust wheels.
I always liked and wanted a 69 or 70 cougar.
I had the cougar at the same time my father had a 69 Mach 1. Good memories.
My wife has 2 Cougars. A 67 standard 289 automatic and a 69 standard vert 351 4bbl. After owning the car for over 25 years I am finally removing the front manual drum brakes and putting power disc brakes on the front. The 69 has factory disc setup. Sorry dont have any pics at the moment. I love your orange car. I want an orange Eliminator with a white interior.

I love them Saleen rims too.......tough to find a nice set. If you have a set...AWSOME!!!
Wow what a great restoration story!
The pics are amazing of the work you've done to save a fox.
Its sad to see alot of foxes here in BC get scrapped for minor rust issue's compared to what you've had to repair.
I know of quite a few just sitting in fields here waiting to be brought back to life by someone hopefuly one day.
Job well done bud.
Thanks ford power. It’s unfortunate that these get trashed, in my case, if it wasn’t a family car it would be a parts car. I’m very disappointed with the lack of parts available for these cars. I hope the industry wakes up and starts to build body parts soon.
I had a few hours today and sanded the front bumper. They had been repaired at a local bumper shop so the good news is that I didn’t have to strip it.
My $.02 on the Saleen wheels....probably the best overall looking wheels ever put on a Fox. Very sharp. I'd love to put a set on my RST.
