So this problem is killing me, I recently installed a Kickdown rod on my mustang, It has a 302 with a C4 trans. The C4 had a kickdown rod on the trans before. When I got the car back from resto it was missing the rod. Without the rod it would change gears from 1 - 2 very fast and when it shifts to 3rd it revs high then shifts acting like the kickdown was engaged. So I recently put a kickdown rod on it and now it will not shift unless it is WOT. Do I need a new modulator? Also, on the highway I am cruising at 60 mph at 3K rpms. This seems high to me. What do you guys think? I am thinking of just disconnecting the rod again and run it without. I'm stumped by this trans. It has a B&M shift kit also. Any help would be much appreciated.
